Tour DUNKELROT 2024

Schüller & Hövelmann präsentieren live die Songs des neuen Mathias Schüller-Albums DUNKEL:ROT. Die Musik ist geprägt von amerikanischem Songwriting mit ausgebufften deutschen Texten. Die Liebe ist ein großes Thema, aber nie so wie erwartet.

Schüller macht den Crooner und singt sich durch alle Facetten des Daseins, mal heiß, mal feucht, aber immer leidenschaftlich. Live werden die Songs im Duo gespielt – zwei Stimmen, zwei Gitarren und etwas Rhythmus zwischen Folk und Rock´n Roll.

Schüller und Hövelmann sind ein eingespieltes Team und bieten einen unterhaltsamen Abend voller Geschichten. Das ist berührend, heftig, melancholisch und humorvoll.

Mit dem vorletzten Album AFFENTANZ haben Schüller & Hövelmann 60 shows absolviert, sechs davon in den USA. Schüller hat eine support tour für Joseph Parsons gespielt sowie eine dreiwöchige Tour mit Mare Wakefield aus Nashville und Jay Ottaway aus Boston.

Das Vorgänger-Album WODKA WODKA SUPERSTAR war nominiert für den Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik und monatelang in der Bestenliste der deutschen Liedermacher.

DUNKEL:ROT, zum ersten Mal in einer Zusammenarbeit mit dem Timezone-Label, wird intensiv live bespielt.

AUSGERUFEN (bezieht sich auf die Kunst der Marktschreier) ist die Konzertreihe im Das PLUS am Neumarkt. Vorwiegend hausgemachte, handgefertigte Musik mit ehrlichen Texten, die das Leben inspiriert. Das Konzept der Hutveranstaltung soll die einbeziehen, die sich Kulturerlebnisse nicht, oder nur unter Problemen leisten können. Die, die es sich leisten können, geben dafür ein wenig mehr, um die Wertschätzung für die künstlerische Leistung zu würdigen.

Tour DUNKEL:ROT 2024

Schüller & Hövelmann present the songs from the new Mathias Schüller album DUNKEL:ROT live. The music is characterised by American songwriting with sophisticated German lyrics. Love is a major theme, but never as expected.

Schüller plays the crooner and sings his way through all facets of existence, sometimes hot, sometimes wet, but always passionate. The songs are performed live as a duo - two voices, two guitars and some rhythm between folk and rock'n'roll.

Schüller and Hövelmann are a well-rehearsed team and offer an entertaining evening full of stories. It is touching, fierce, melancholic and humorous.

With their penultimate album AFFENTANZ, Schüller & Hövelmann have played 60 shows, six of them in the USA. Schüller played a support tour for Joseph Parsons as well as a three-week tour with Mare Wakefield from Nashville and Jay Ottaway from Boston.

The previous album WODKA WODKA SUPERSTAR was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award and was on the list of the best German singer-songwriters for months.

DUNKEL:ROT, for the first time in a collaboration with the Timezone label, will be played live intensively.

AUSGERUFEN ("called out" refers to the people selling their goods on the market right outside our shop two times a week, sometimes addressing the customers with shouts) is the concert series at Das PLUS am Neumarkt. Mainly home-made, handcrafted music with honest lyrics that are inspired by life itself. The concept of the hat event is intended to include those who cannot afford cultural experiences or can only afford them with difficulties. Those who can afford it pay a little more to honour the appreciation of the artistic performance.
